It has been a LONG week filled with lots of couching and puking. Lochlann had a fever and was coughing up a storm all week…sometimes coughing so much he was throwing up. Kenzie had horrible Pink Eye in both eyes. Riley and Lincoln got a little of Loch’s cold but they werent too bad. So Lincoln missed two days of school, Loch and Kenz have been home all week. Everyone seems to be almost better now. Back to school for all of them tomorrow.
Wonderland!!! ~ October 1st-2nd, 2010
Here are some pics of our little trip to Canada’s Wonderland. Jen, Steve, Aidan and Rilyn joined us for a day of rides and fun. It rained the whole day and it was cold but the kids had fun and thats all that matters.
Ballerina Kenzie ~ September 15th, 2010
MacKenzie has wanted to be a ballerina for as long as I can remember. Well now she finally is on the road to becoming one. I couldnt get very many pics because parents arent allowed in the room…they are only allowed to watch through one of those one way window/mirror things and the reflection on the glass ruins any chance of a decent pic. But here are the couple I DID get. Not great but better than nothing.
Back To School ~ September 7th, 2010
Back to School is here again. It is always a sad day for me. I feel like my stomach is in knots as they leave. Ugh.
Nana’s Visit ~ August 2010
Nana was here for a very nice visit. We haven’t seen her in a couple months plus she hasn’t had a chance to see our new house until now. We had a very nice visit with her and the kids had so much fun.
I have tons of pictures from the visit but I am awaiting permission from Nana before I post them 🙂
Charlie Is Here! ~ July 27th, 2010
Finally after much waiting and anticipating…On July 27th, 2010Â I gave birth to my surro baby, Charlie Michelle Turco. After less than 5 hours total labour she is here. Michelle and Steve and Lennon are so happy to have their little baby back with them. It was an amazing 9 months. Charlie will always have a tiny piece of my heart but I was more than happy to hand her over to the arms of her Mommy and Daddy where she belongs. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever been a part of. Now that it is over I can truely say that I do not regret one tiny moment of this. It is hard to explain how it feels to affect someone’s life this much, and to be a part of something so HUGE and life changing. I thought that I would feel sad (and that would have been ok) I was prepared for a little sadness maybe. But there was nothing but excitement and awe. Charlie is beautiful and perfect and amazing. Being able to watch how much that tiny baby changed their lives was just beyond words. The feeling that comes from that is unexplainable.
Ok…now that I am done rambling, check out the pics of her on her Birth Day 🙂
Happy Birthday Riley ~ July 18th -August 1st, 2010
Well considering I was due to have Charlie (for those who don’t know or remember, Charlie isn’t mine…she is my surro baby) 2 days before Riley’s birthday we decided to do Riley’s birthday party a few weeks early. So on July 18th we invited a few toddlers her age to come celebrate Riley turning 2. I didnt have the energy to make it the best birthday ever but there were friends and cake and who needs more than that right?
Then on August 1st we celebrated her actual birthday. Aunt Denise and Cousin Oli came over, and we had a quiet family celebration for Riley. Again…quiet and small but still lots of fun and Riley loved every minute of it.
Summer Fun ~ May-August 2010
In light of the fact that I was horrible at keeping up this blog this summer, I will be lazy and post all the random summer fun pics in one post. Including the following…
Science North day, Dynamic Earth day, several trips to the beach, many many trips to the splashpad, Summer Reading club, trips to the library, trips to the park, friends birthdays, backyard marshmallow roasts, etc etc etc
Happy Birthday Lincoln ~ July 7th -11th, 2010
On the 7th, (his actual birthday) we had a little celebration here with the family for Lincoln’s Birthday. The usual…cake, Presents, good food and family. Then on the weekend Lincoln and his friends went to play paintball instead of having the typical birthday party. They had SO much fun but of course in true paintball style they came home covered in welts and bruises. Happy 13th Birthday Linky!
